Asante Kotoko have intensified their preparations for their second leg clash against Kwara United in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Ghanaian giants over the past weekend secured a 4-3 victory against the Nigerian opponent at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg of the tie
With just a one-goal advantage, Kotoko coach Abdul Karim Zito is aware that the return leg encounter in Nigeria will not only be tricky but very tough.
In his post-match interview after the first leg, the coach admitted that his team’s defensive performance was not the best, stressing that the team will correct their mistakes before the next game.
"I've seen my mistakes and I have to do well and rectify them before we go there," Zito stated.
Staying true to his word, Karim Zito has focused more on improving the team’s defense in their training session this week.
He wants his team to improve on their performance in the first leg to overcome Kwara United over the course of the two legs to make it to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary stage.
