Ghana champions Bibiani Goldstars will leave Ghana for Algeria on Thursday ahead of their crucial CAF Champions League return clash against JS Kabylie.
The Miners faces a daunting task in Algeria after falling short at the Accra Sports Stadium to JS Kabylie last Saturday in the first-leg preliminary round encounter.
Goldstars’ first appearance in the CAF inter club competition suffered a major setback after succumbing to a 2-0 defeat on home turf.
Despite the setback, the Ghanaian champions are seeking to overturn the scoreline in the return leg clash in Algeria to progress to the next stage of the preliminary round.
Goldstars will travel to Algeria with 42-man contingent, with the first batch of the team expected to depart Ghana to Istanbul on Thursday with Turkish Airlines.
Meanwhile, the second batch of the Goldstars team will join the rest of the contingent on Friday in Istanbul before making a transit to Algiers for the crunch clash.
The Ghanaian champions will train at the match venue on Saturday before the highly competitive clash on Sunday.
Goldstars are currently without a substantive coach following the sacking of Frimpong Maxwell, with Nana Amankwah set to lead the team in Algeria.
