FC Samartex 1996 head coach Christopher Ennin has expressed his frustration after his side were forced to settle for a draw against Karela United in their Matchday 2 fixture of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
The Timber Boys were held 1-1 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday, with Karela taking the lead in the first half through Mohammed Zaidan.
Samartex later responded through Samuel Tetteh but could not find the winner.
Speaking after the game, Ennin criticised his players for straying from the game plan, which he believes cost them the opening goal.
“I am really disappointed with the results, especially conceding that early goal," he said.
"That is usually our strength, to get the early goal ourselves. But tactical indiscipline is what resulted in us conceding," Ennin added.
Despite remaining unbeaten after two matches, the coach’s disappointment reflects his desire to see Samartex translate their performances into victories.
The team will be aiming for their first win of the campaign when they face Nations FC at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Matchday 3 this weekend.
