Belgian forward of Ghanaian descent, Jeremy Doku, found the back of the net on Thursday night, helping Manchester City to secure a 2-0 victory against SSC Napoli in the UEFA Champions League.
The pacey and tricky winger started the encounter for his side at Etihad and put up a performance worthy of the Man of the Match award.
In the highly anticipated contest, Napoli were confident about a victory but found themselves in trouble after 21 minutes into the first half when Giovanni Di Lorenzo was sent off, forcing the Serie A champions to play with 10 men.
Although Napoli managed to keep Manchester City at bay until halftime, the defense of the visiting team broke down in the second half.
The hosts took the lead in the 56th minute when prolific striker Erling Haaland equalised.
Later in the 65th minute, Jeremy Doku, who had dazzled all evening, got his name on the scoresheet with an assist from Tijjani Reijnders.
In a game where Doku played 69 minutes, he earned a rating of 8.7 [per Flashscore], the highest of all the players who featured for both teams.
