Serbian Super Liga outfit FK Spartak Subotica have announced the signing of promising Ghanaian defender Kudu Shama Abdul on a four-year contract.
The 19-year-old joins from Ghanaian lower-tier side Benab FC, where he emerged as one of the standout performers in recent years.
Abdul played a pivotal role in guiding Benab to two qualifications for the Ashanti Regional Division Two Middle League, earning widespread praise for his defensive discipline and leadership qualities at a young age.
Spartak confirmed the capture of the Ghana U19 international through a statement on their official website, describing Abdul as a player of “foal blood” who is expected to add steel and resilience to their defensive setup.
At the international level, Abdul has already attracted attention after earning a call-up to the Ghana U19 national team, where he continues to impress coaches with his reading of the game and ability to marshal the backline.
Abdul has been handed the number 22 jersey at Spartak Subotica, and his move represents another important step in the rising trend of Ghanaian youngsters leaping European football.
The deal is seen as a significant milestone not only for the player but also for Benab, who continue to build a reputation as a fertile ground for unearthing hidden talent in Ghana’s football landscape.
