Young Apostles begin their second Ghana Premier League campaign with a daunting home fixture against Medeama SC at the Nana Agyemang-Badu I Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Wenchi-based club survived relegation by a narrow margin last season but showed resilience towards the end, going unbeaten in their final 10 home games with six wins and four draws.
Reinforcements during the off-season are expected to add depth, as the Apostles seek to transform their ground into a real stronghold.
Medeama, champions in the 2022/23 season, have endured two consecutive eighth-place finishes, winning 15, drawing five, and losing 14 matches last term. Despite scoring a league-high 44 goals, their away form remained a weakness, with just three wins in 17 trips.

The Mauve and Yellow have strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Salim Adams from New Edubiase, Richard Sackey, Paul Yeboah and Ibrahim Nurudeen. After securing a narrow 1-0 away win over Legon Cities in their opener, they are targeting back-to-back victories on the road to underline their title credentials.
Medeama defeated Young Apostles 2-0 away in last season’s fixture.
