The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has expressed optimism about his team’s chances of beating Young Apostles this weekend in Round 1 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, the former Accra Lions tactician assured fans that his team has prepared well to begin the new campaign on a positive note.
“We are going there to win, definitely. But I don’t think I can give you any results. Any team want to win their first game of the league, and I think we are going there to win. We have had a good pre-season, so we are definitely going there to win. I hope my team will give their best,” Ibrahim Tanko told Medi TV.
The encounter between Young Apostles and Medeama Sporting Club is scheduled to be played on Sunday, September 14, and will kick off at 3 pm at Nana Agyeman Badu Park.
A win to amass three points could inspire Medeama SC to challenge for the league title this season.
