
Ghana defender Alexander Djiku has officially completed a transfer to Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow from Turkish Süper Lig club Fenerbahçe.
The move comes after a successful spell in Turkey where Djiku established himself as a reliable and physical presence in central defence.
Fenerbahçe confirmed the transfer in a brief statement, expressing gratitude for the player’s contributions: “Our club has reached an agreement with Spartak Moscow, a team from the Russian league, regarding the transfer of our player Alexander Djiku. We thank our footballer for his efforts so far and wish him a successful career.”
Djiku, who has been a key figure for the Ghana national teamâmost recently scoring the match-winning goal in the Black Stars' vital 1â0 World Cup qualifying victory over Maliânow heads to a new challenge in the Russian top flight.
