Ghanaian winger Blessing Asumang Dankwah has expressed delight after sealing a move to Swedish topflight side GAIS in the summer transfer window.
The former Accra Lions forward signed a five-year deal to join GAIS in 2026 following the end of his loan spell at Orebro SK.
At Orebro, the forward has made 15 appearances, contributing a goal to the struggling Superettan side.
"It feels great! I've been in ÃSK for six months so far, but it feels good to make this move after the season. This is my first year as a football player in Europe and it feels great to get the chance in an Allsvenskan team. It must mean I've done something good!" said the pacy winger.
"I am very mobile and fast, I like to run! But I also think I am good at duels, I like to take on an opposing player," he added as he opened up on his exceptional qualities.
In the Ghana Premier League with Accra Lions, he made 31 appearances, scoring five goals and adding two assists.
Technical Director of GAIS, Magnus Skoldmark believes the signing of Asumang Dankwah will add some qualities to the club.
"We are happy to introduce Blessing Asumang Dankwah to all Gaisa fans. He has exciting qualities that we have identified. It will certainly take some time for him to acclimatize in our environment, as for most players who come to us. We see strong potential in him! The fact that he already plays in Swedish football is of course an advantage," he said.
