
Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has confirmed the number of players currently at the camp of the Black Stars.
The senior national team officially opened camp today in Accra ahead of the Matchday 7 and 8 games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Asante Twum confirmed that 14 players are currently at the camp of the team.
According to him, the rest of the invited players are expected to arrive at the camp later in the day.
"So far, 14 players are in the camp, and they are Antoine Semenyo, Elisha Owusu, Salis Samed, Ibrahim Osman, Joseph Annan, Benjamin Asare, Ibrahim Sulemana, Mohammed Salisu, Jonas Adejey, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Caleb Yirenkye, Jerry Afriyie, Lawrence Atu-Zigi and Tariq Lamptey.
"The rest of the players, including Thomas Partey, are all expected to arrive at the camp this evening before the team trains on Tuesday, before leaving for N’Djamena."
Ghana will be hosted at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on September 4 by Chad before hosting Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8.
The team will hold their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium today and tomorrow morning before departing for N’Djamena.
