Ghana international Osman Bukari has shared his excitement after helping Austin FC to secure victory over San Jose Earthquake in the Major League Soccer.
The Black Stars winger started and played for 84 minutes as his outfit cruised to a 3-1 home victory over their opponent in the round 29 fixture held at the Q2 Stadium on Sunday.
Bukari played a pivotal role by registering his name on the scoresheet, contributing to the sides’ victory over San Jose Earthquake in a high-stake clash.
The former Red Stars Belgrade star opened the scoring for Austin FC, rifling the ball into the far post just 12 minutes in the match. Nico Dubersarsky won the ball from midfield, and Owen Wolff drove forward before playing in Bukari with a perfectly-weighted through ball.
Before half-time, Bukari initiated the move which set up Myrto Uzuni, another Designated Player, to double the lead.
Daniel Munie pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 53rd minute, but it proved to be only a consolation as the Verde & Black re-established a two-goal cushion via an own goal in the closing stages.
“Happy for the win. Thanks to the fans for the support” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The 26-year-old Ghana international attacker has been impressive for Austin FC this campaign, scoring three goals and contributing five assists in 27 appearances for the club.
Meanwhile, Bukari was omitted from the Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA Club World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana will travel to face Chad on September 4 before hosting Mali in a high-stake clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8.
