
The Elite U-15 Boys Championship begins today, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, with regional teams and GFA elite academies set to compete for national honours.
Ahead of the kickoff, participants were taken through orientation sessions covering discipline, player welfare and refereeing standards. Deputy Director of the Centre, David Alifoe, reminded players and officials to protect the facility and uphold discipline, while RFAs Coordinator, Daasebre Adu Asare, outlined tournament regulations.
Referees Manager, Alex Kotey, introduced the Catch Them Young referees, underscoring their importance in Ghana’s refereeing development agenda. GFA Safeguarding Manager, Obed Tuffour, also shared vital safeguarding tips, reinforcing the need to prioritise safety and respect.
FIFA Talent Coach Stuart McLaren and FIFA Scout Expert Franklin Shillingford capped the session with inspiring words, encouraging players to seize the opportunity and showcase their potential on Ghana’s biggest youth football stage.
