The Ghana Football Association has appointed Nations FC deputy coach Johnson Smith and Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon as assistant coaches of the Black Satellites, completing the backroom staff under newly appointed head coach Maxwell Konadu.
Smith, a seasoned trainer with vast experience in the Ghana Premier League, previously worked as assistant coach at Asante Kotoko before joining Nations FC, where he continues to support head coach Kassim Mingle.
His familiarity with player development and tactical preparation is expected to be a valuable asset to the national U-20 side.
Dormon, on the other hand, brings deep knowledge of youth football, having served as an assistant coach for the Black Starlets.
After more than a decade as an assistant at Dreams FC, he stepped up to become the club’s head coach ahead of the new season.
His rise in the Ghanaian coaching ranks highlights his steady progression and expertise.
Together with Smith and Dormon, the Satellites’ technical setup will also feature Kelvin Agyemang as Goalkeepers Coach.
