The GHALCA Top Four Tournament kicks off today, Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium, offering football fans an exciting off-season spectacle.
In the opening fixture, Ghana Premier League champions Gold Stars FC face Asante Kotoko at 3:00 pm local time (15:00 GMT). Later in the evening, Hearts of Oak will meet second-placed Heart of Lions in a highly anticipated clash at 6:00 pm (18:00 GMT).
The action continues on Friday, August 22, with Gold Stars taking on Hearts of Oak, while Heart of Lions square off against Asante Kotoko. The final round of matches will be played on Sunday, August 24, when Gold Stars lock horns with Heart of Lions before the curtain comes down with a traditional rivalry between Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
This year’s Top Four serves as vital preparation for Kotoko and Gold Stars ahead of their CAF Inter-club campaigns, while Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions will use the competition as a warm-up for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
