Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil has disclosed the secret behind his recent form after scoring again for Los Angeles Galaxy in the Major League Soccer.
The 27-year-old, who had a slow start to the campaign, netted his fifth goal in the 2025 MLS as the champions suffered a 3-1 defeat to the star-studded Inter Miami.
Painstil gave LA Galaxy a lifeline in the second half after cancelling an early Jordi Alba goal but late strikes from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez secured victory for Miami at Chase Stadium.
Despite the defeat, Paintsil produced one of his best performances for the California-based club, with a sensational solo to crown his efforts.
According to Paintsil, head coach Greg Vanney and his technical team have been working on his strengths, helping him to rediscover his form.
“Yeah, kudos to Coach because he always tells me to always try no matter what because I always cut in to my right. So every training, he always tells me, no matter what, I should just keep going to my left and touch the ball with my left. No matter what happens, I should just keep trying no matter what. At least I will be a success even if I fail for ten times, there will be a successful one," he said after the game.
"So I really thank the coaches a lot for them giving me that faith and that confidence to do what I have to do. So I would just keep doing it and keep doing it, no matter how I feel and I know with one movement, it's going to be a success.”
The former KRC Genk star has also netted three goals in three matches in the US Open this season.
