Former Black Stars assistant coach George Boateng has agreed a deal to become the head coach of Belgian third-tier club RAEC Mons.
The former Dutch international will sign a three-year deal with the club.
Boateng has been unattached since leaving Coventry City in November 2024 following the appointment of Frank Lampard.
Before his appointment by the English Championship side, the 49-year-old worked with the Ghana national team.
He served as an assistant coach during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Ivory Coast.
After the abysmal performance of the team, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) dissolved the entire technical team of the senior national team.
Boateng retired from football in 2013, after spells in English football with Coventry, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Hull and Nottingham Forest.
He previously served as the head coach position with Malaysian side Kelantan. Boateng has also served as Aston Villa U-23 head coach.
