Ghana international Joseph Paintsil was on target for LA Galaxy on Saturday night when his team suffered a 3-1 defeat to Inter Miami in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
The forward started the game for his team and lasted the entire duration of the contest.
Paintsil, 27, impressed with his performance and scored his goal in the 59th minute after weaving his way through the Inter Miami defence before firing a low shot to beat the goalkeeper.
Unfortunately, his equaliser could only serve as a consolation for the LA Galaxy side.
Inter Miami led at halftime courtesy of s strike by former Barcelona left-back Jordi Albi.
In the second half, goals by Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in the 84th and 89th minutes respectively, sealed the 3-1 victory for Inter Miami to secure all three points.
Paintsil and his teammates are currently having a tough spell in the MLS and will be hoping to return to winning ways in their next fixture against Colorado.
