Winfred Dormon says he is eager to bring his own tactical approach to Dreams FC after being appointed head coach ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The long-serving club figure, who first joined Dreams FC in 2013, replaces Karim Zito, under whom he served as assistant for several years.
Dormon’s association with Dreams FC spans over a decade, during which he guided the side from Division Two to the second tier in 2015/16 and later contributed to their promotion to the top flight as part of CK Akonnor’s technical team.
He has since worked under coaches Vladislav ViriÄ, Ignatius Osei-Fosu, and Zito, playing a role in the club’s historic run to the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup semifinals.
Having stepped in on an interim basis last season after Zito’s departure to Asante Kotoko, Dormon says he is ready to stamp his identity on the team.
“Of course, he [Karim Zito] has his style, and I also have my style. I mean, coaches differ, philosophers differ⦠I want to have a different style; I want to have my own style as coach Winfred Dormon,” he told Joy Sports.
