
France-born Ghanaian midfielder Edwin Quarshie delivered an outstanding performance as he found the back of the net for Le Mans in their thrilling 3-3 draw against Guingamp in the French Ligue 2.
The 29-year-old experienced midfielder impressed in the highly competitive clash held at the Stade du Roudourou on Saturday.
Quarshie played a vital role for Le Mans, lasting 67 minutes on the field and contributing significantly to his team's performance.
The visitors shot into the lead through the Ghanaian midfielder in the 18th-minute mark before Anthony Ribelin doubled the advantage for the club in the 40th-minute as they went to the halftime break with the advantage.
In the 72nd minute, the home team pulled one back through Albin Demouchy before Donatien Gomis level the score three minutes to full time.
Guingamp grabbed their third goal of the match in stoppage time through Louis Mafouta and were cruising to victory, until William Harhouz found the back of the net to level pegging as both teams settled for a draw.
The 29-year-old midfielder has been in the books of Le Mans since 2022, with his current contract expected to expire in 2027.
Quarshie has begun the 2025/26 Ligue 2 campaign on a good note, scoring in the season opener to propel his outfit to an important away draw.
