
The Sporting Director of Vendsyssel FF, Jens Hammer Sorensen, has stated that the club is determined to help develop promising Ghanaian teenager Akwasi Owusu.
The Danish club completed the signing of the midfielder on Thursday, July 31, signing the player on a one-year contract.
Speaking about the decision to recruit the Ghanaian, Jens Hammer Sorensen said the club sees Owusu as an exciting young midfielder with considerable potential.
He said the club hopes to help unleash the potential of the midfielder during his time at Vendsyssel FF.
“Akwasi is an exciting, young midfielder... we look forward to him developing and unleashing his potential in the white Vendsyssel jersey,” Jens Hammer Sorensen said as quoted on the club’s website.
Meanwhile, Akwasi Owusu has shared his excitement about the new opportunity. In his first interview, the midfielder stated that he wants to make a positive contribution to his new club.
“I am happy to have signed with Vendsyssel FF. It is an exciting club that I hope to contribute positively to, so that we can fight at the top this season and give our fans a lot to look forward to,” he told the club’s official website.
