FIFA MA Referee Course concludes successfully in Prampram with 40 participants
The five-day FIFA Member Association (MA) Referee Course, organised by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) under the auspices of FIFA, has ended successfully at La Tua Villas in Prampram.The training brought together 40 participants, comprising 21 Technical Instructors and 19 Fitness Instructors, in an intensive programme designed to enhance instructional delivery and align participants with modern refereeing methodologies.FIFA Referee Technical Instructor Mohammed Ali from Somalia and FIFA Fitness Instructor Houssein Ali Mohammed from Djibouti led the course, in collaboration with Ghanaian referee educators Alex Kotey and Christine Zigah.The sessions blended theory and practice, focusing on the integration of technical and fitness aspects to mirror real-match conditions. Participants took part in classroom modules covering the Laws of the Game, match management, instructional methods, and video analysis. These were complemented by on-field drills, fitness evaluations, and performance-based feedback.All Futuro III-trained FIFA Technical and Fitness Instructors affiliated with the GFA were present, providing a valuable platform for peer learning and reinforcing FIFA's global standards.The course marks another step in the GFAs efforts to raise refereeing standards across all levels of football in Ghana.
