
Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara, has called for calm and patience following the Black Queens opening defeat at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The national womens team fell 2-0 to reigning champions South Africa in their Group C opener on Monday.
Despite the setback, Sannie Daara remains optimistic about the teams prospects, insisting that the Black Queens are still a side in transition.
Black Queens are a work in progress, and so losing against South Africa is not an issue, but against Mali, I believe we can win that game, he told Asempa FM.Ghana will take on Mali in their second group match today at the Stade Municipal de Berkane, with kickoff set for 16:00 GMT.
