WAFCON 2024: Black Queens have corrected their mistakes â?? Hasaacas Ladies CEO Evelyn Nsiah Owusu
[caption id=attachment_1250850 align=alignnone width=2048] Black Queens[/caption]Chief Executive Officer of Hasaacas Ladies Football Club, Evelyn Nsiah Asare Owusu, is confident that the Black Queens are now a more refined side heading into the quarterfinals of the 2024 CAF Womens Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.Speaking exclusively to Citi Sports after Ghanas emphatic 4-1 win over Tanzania, Nsiah Owusu stated that the team had learned valuable lessons from their earlier group stage struggles and are now better prepared for the challenges ahead.They the girls are good, but I think they have to take their time, she noted. Our first and second game, its not that we didnt do well, but we were in a hurry to score, and when you are in a hurry to score, you make so many mistakes. But I think that they have corrected their mistakes.Ghanas journey in Group C started with a 2-0 loss to South Africa, followed by a 1-1 draw with Mali before sealing qualification with the big win over Tanzania. Their quarterfinal clash is scheduled against Algeria on Saturday, July 19 at 16:00 GMT.The Black Queens qualification marks their first WAFCON quarterfinal appearance since 2016, and Evelyn Nsiah Owusu believes the team now has the mental strength and tactical balance to go even further.
