The newly-promoted Premiership side is keen on maintaining their top-flight status at the end of the 2025/26 football season and has decided to recruit top players in the off-season.One of the players targeted by the club is former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Fredrick Asare.The shot-stopper impressed the officials of the South African club at the end of a short trial session.Durban City FC have now moved quickly to secure the services of the goalkeeper and have offered him a two-year deal.According to information gathered, the agent of Fredrick Asare is reviewing the contract, and a final decision will be made soon. It is understood that Asare is open to the move but not in a hurry to decide his future.The goalkeeper parted ways with Asante Kotoko in June when his contract expired and is currently a free agent.
