2025 Free License D Coaching Course begins July 10 in Eastern Region

The 2025 edition of the Free License D Coaching Course for colts club coaches in the Eastern Region is set to begin on Wednesday, July 10, at the Koforidua Sports Stadium. The week-long training program, which runs until July 17, marks the second straight year the region is benefiting from this vital grassroots initiative.Thirty coaches from various colts clubs will take part in the course, maintaining the same participation level as last year. The program forms part of the Ghana Football Associations (GFA) national drive to improve youth coaching and talent development at the grassroots level.The License D course includes theoretical and practical sessions led by certified GFA instructors. Coaches will be trained in modern techniques, player management, and football ethics, giving them the tools to nurture young talent better.Fully funded by the GFA, the initiative is part of a broader three-year plan to train 900 colts club coaches across the country. All 16 regions benefited in 2024.GFA President Kurt Okraku has often underlined the importance of building capacity at the grassroots, with the colts system forming a key pillar in Ghanas football development structure.
