Heart of Lions striker Abednego Tetteh has claimed that most Ghana Premier League players go into matches angry because they are not paid very well by their clubs. The veteran striker made this claim on Wednesday, February 26, when he shared his view on the violent clash between players during the Week 19 Ghana Premier League encounter between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko.Abednego Tetteh insists that he does not blame players for the clash because he knows the difficult conditions players go through in the local league.Players play under a lot of difficult conditions, players aren't paid well so a player will come to the field with a lot of anger because he's a hungry man, so I don't blame the players so much for what happened at Nsoatre, Abednego Tetteh said in an interview with Lawson TV.In addition to the clash between players of Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko during the Week 19 league game, there was also a tragic incident that happened off the field.Francis Frimpong, a staunch supporter of Asante Kotoko, was stabbed to death. This has led to the suspension of the Ghana Premier League amid concerns about safety and security. In a latest development, the Ghana FA has announced that the Premier League will resume on March 7.
