
The Disciplinary Committee has declared Dreams FC winners of their MTN FA Cup preliminary round game against Unique FC played in Old Tafo.
The match ended abruptly after fans of Unique FC threw missiles onto the pitch with players suffering injuries.
The Committee therefore makes the following decisions:
- That for supporters of Unique FC initiating acts responsible for causing the
abrupt end of the match, Unique FC shall forfeit the match in accordance with Article
34(1)(b) of the General Regulations of the GFA.
- That having been found to have forfeited the match, Unique FC shall be
considered as having lost the match in accordance with Articles 34(2) and 34(12) and
accordingly, three (3) goals are hereby awarded in favour of Dreams FC in
accordance with Articles 34(2) and 34(10) of the General Regulation of the GFA.
- That in addition, for being the defaulting club, Unique FC is hereby fined Two
Hundred and Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH¢250.00) payable to the GFA, 50% of which shall
be paid to Dreams FC pursuant to Article 34(5)(b) of the General Regulations of the
GFA.
- That in addition, for being the home team, Unique FC is hereby further fined
Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢500.00) as transportation expense of Dreams FC
payable to the GFA to be forwarded to Dreams FC pursuant to Article 34(5)(b) of the
General Regulations of the GFA.
- That the fines mentioned in Decisions 3 and 4 above, shall be paid to the GFA
within fourteen (14) days upon receipt of this Ruling, failing which Unique FC shall
forfeit their subsequent matches after the said deadline in accordance with Articles
39(8)(b) and 39(8)(d) of the First Amendment to the GFA General Regulations.
- That the match being a MTN FA Cup match, Dreams FC shall qualify to the next
stage of the competition.
- That should any party be dissatisfied with or aggrieved by this Decision, the
party has within two (2) days of being notified of this Ruling to appeal to the Appeals
Committee of the Ghana Football Association (see Article 31(b) of the FA Cup
Regulations of the GFA).
