The Eastern South Regional Police Command has apprehended four individuals linked to the murder of five people in a shooting incident at Asiyaw, near Akwane-Dobro, Nsawam, in the Eastern Region.
The suspects, identified as Samuel Atsu Forson alias Alanyo, Freeheart Kweku Sedonu, Kwesi Prince, and Benjamin Adzalekor, were arrested from their hideouts.
The incident, which occurred on April 29, 2025, resulted from a confrontation between two groups over sand winning activities.
The suspects were arraigned before the Osino District Court on May 2, 2025. Three of the suspects were remanded into prison custody, while one was remanded into police custody. They are scheduled to reappear in court on May 8, 2025.
The police, in a statement, has assured the public that the suspects will face due process under the law.
