
Government has terminated the appointment of the care-taker Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Ing. Samuel Boakye-Appiah.
A statement from the Ministry of Energy said the termination follows the expiration of Mr. Boakye-Appiah’s contract term in 2018.
He has been directed to handover his duties to his Deputy, Mr. Kwame Agyemang-Budu.
“It is observed that your contract as Care-Taker Chief Executive Officer of Electricity Company of Ghana expired in 2018. In this regard, I am directed to request you to take necessary steps to hand over your duties to Mr. Kwame Agyemang-Budu, Deputy Managing Director of Electricity Company of Ghana with immediate effect”, the statement indicated.
