Accra will play host to one of Africa’s most prominent celebrations of marketing excellence later this month as the 14th MarketingWorld Awards (MWA) Ghana Edition comes off on November 27, 2025 at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
The event will recognise leading brands, marketing professionals, and corporate communication executives whose work continues to shape the country’s competitive and fast-evolving marketing landscape.
Organised by InstinctWave, the MarketingWorld Awards have become a continental benchmark for honouring innovation, creativity, and strategic leadership across the marketing and communications value chain.
The scheme recognises high-performing consumer brands, forward-thinking organisations, and individuals whose work demonstrates excellence in brand management, digital strategy, storytelling, and consumer engagement.
Speaking ahead of the event, Mar Akin Naphtal, CEO of InstinctWave and organiser of the MarketingWorld Awards, said the scheme remains committed to celebrating the brands and individuals driving excellence across the industry.
“The MarketingWorld Awards has always been about celebrating excellence, impact, and brand leadership. Over the last 14 years, Ghanaian brands have consistently demonstrated innovation, resilience, and creativity that stand shoulder-to-shoulder with global standards,” he said.
“The Ghana Edition will honour the outstanding individuals and organizations driving marketing excellence in the country. We are proud to celebrate brands that continue to tell powerful stories, transform consumer experiences, harness social media effectively, and media personalities and entertainers who passionately promote Ghanaian brands. These leaders are making significant contributions to Ghana’s economic advancement and creative growth,” he added.
The awards were first launched in Nigeria before expanding to Ghana in 2017 to deepen their footprint across West Africa. After five successful editions in Accra, the organisers extended the platform to East Africa with the Kenya edition rolled out in 2023.
With strong participation from leading brands across the region, the MarketingWorld Awards today stand as a fully Pan-African recognition platform spotlighting marketing excellence across multiple sectors.
“With increasing competition across sectors and growing consumer expectations, the awards are expected to reinforce higher standards of professionalism, creative excellence, and strategic innovation within Ghana’s marketing industry,” Mr. Naphtal also said.
The 14th MarketingWorld Awards will also serve as a convergence point for industry stakeholders to network, exchange insights, and explore emerging opportunities in digital communication, brand strategy, and consumer analytics. Organisers indicate that the event will spotlight individuals and organisations whose work is shaping modern marketing practice and redefining consumer experience standards across Ghana.
This year’s Ghana Edition is expected to attract a broad range of nominees from the private and public sectors, reflecting the strengthened role of marketing in institutional growth, organisational visibility, and consumer trust.
The 2025 ceremony will also introduce expanded award categories designed to align with emerging trends in digital strategy and content-driven brand engagement. New additions include awards for digital marketing leadership, high-impact influencers, social media-driven brand growth, and media personalities whose work consistently elevates consumer awareness and brand loyalty.
Industry observers note that the expansion of categories mirrors the transformation currently underway in Ghana’s marketing ecosystem, where brands increasingly rely on data analytics, digital platforms, and influencer partnerships to reach younger, more interconnected consumer segments.
The 2025 edition is therefore expected to highlight the contributions of both traditional and new-media players whose work reflects the evolving demands of markets across Ghana and Africa.
