A decade of retailing excellence, Achimota Mall celebrates 10 years of service

A decade of dedication to retail excellence comes to life this month as Achimota Retail Centre (ARC) marks a major milestone – its 10th anniversary. With a celebration spanning two months and culminating on October 29th, ‘Achimota Mall’ is set to thank all its loyal customers, stakeholders, and the community for their unwavering support.

Located at Dome, near St John’s SHS, on the Accra-Nsawam Highway, ARC opened on October 29, 2015, to address the void in modern retail services in the north-eastern part of the capital. Sitting on a land area of 35,790 square meters, the mall boasts a diverse tenant mix of 42 line shops and two anchor tenants – Shoprite and Melcom. The carefully curated blend of local and international brands offers a wide variety of products and services, including groceries, lifestyle products, beauty and wellness items, electronics, fashion, banking services, eateries, and entertainment.

Highlights of the anniversary celebration include special shopping deals, exclusive discounts and promos throughout September and October. There will be giveaways and exciting rewards and prizes for loyal customers and tenants, an anniversary Photo Booth frame where patrons may capture and preserve the thrills of the celebration, as well as a range of other fun-filled activities and amusement, all cut for the delight of customers and revellers.

The ‘tenth birthday’ package was launched at a colourful unveiling ceremony on the food court of the Centre on Friday September 5, setting off a variety of exciting activities with special deals and giveaways for shoppers; the anniversary ‘Bonanza Sales’ is running throughout September and October, during which customers can enjoy incredible discounts and win assorted freebies by simply showing proof of purchase to promoters and spinning the wheel.

Then comes the ‘Mega Spin’ episode on Wednesday, October 10, which rewards shoppers with an upgraded variety of exciting prizes. The spin campaign gains absolute momentum on the D-day (October 29), as heavy-duty giveaways, like TV sets and fridges, will be taken home by lucky shoppers. It is on this day that deserving tenants (stores) of ARC will be acknowledged and honoured at a special retailer recognition event.

Today, ARC is not just a shopping centre, but has become one of Accra’s main hubs for business, entertainment and social connections,” Mr. Adjei-Ampofo declared proudly.

The ARC Centre Manager, Alice Esi Coleman, expressed gratitude to the mall’s customers, tenants and management for their hard work and loyalty over the past decade.

Speaking on behalf of tenants, Mrs. Mona Quartey Hage, Executive Director of ‘The Chop Bar’, a popular Ghanaian food vendor, and a pioneer-tenant at the mall, recalled that ARC has come a long way from its early beginnings in 2015, and commended her colleague tenants, customers, as well as the mall’s management for their resilience and dedication.
