Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has vowed that his team will not give up on winning the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title until the season concludes.
Despite a goalless draw against Gold Stars in their Week 32 match, Zito remains optimistic about his team’s chances.
“We can’t give up until it’s officially over,” Zito said in a post-match interview. “Anything can happen in the last two games, and we’ll fight till the end.”
Kotoko currently sits third in the league table with 55 points, trailing league leaders Nations FC by five points.
To stand a chance of claiming the title, Nations FC would need to lose both of their remaining games and the Porcupine warriors need to win their remaining two matches.
Despite the long odds, Zito’s determination remains unwavering, and he believes his team can still make a late surge to win the league.
Up next for the Kumasi giant is a tricky test at home against former champions Medeama before concluding the season with a though away trip against Vision Fc who are fighting for survival.
