
The Western Regional Minister Joseph Nelson has assured Lorry Li, Managing Director of Keda Ghana Ceramics Company Ltd of the Regional Coordinating Council’s support to create more jobs.
He gave the assurance during a meeting on Monday, February 24.
Minister Nelson expressed his delight upon learning that Keda Ghana Ceramics’ future appears promising. The company has set its sights on exporting its products to the USA and Northern America in the coming years.
Lorry Li, Managing Director of Keda Ghana Ceramics Company Ltd., expressed his optimism about the business environment in Ghana, stating:
“The raw materials here are very good, and the energy sources we need are readily available. Moreover, the entire country is very safe, and the political climate is stable. These favorable conditions have encouraged our group to plan for additional investments in Ghana.”
In addition to expanding its export market, Keda Ghana Ceramics is also exploring new opportunities in glass manufacturing.
This venture into glass production is expected to further diversify the company’s product offerings and strengthen its position in the industry.
With its existing ceramics production and upcoming glass manufacturing capabilities, Keda Ghana Ceramics is poised for significant growth and expansion in the years to come.
Notably, the company has a substantial workforce, with over 4,000 direct and indirect employees.
To meet growing demand and optimize production, Keda Ghana Ceramics has implemented a three-shift system, enabling 24-hour operations.
This strategic move is expected to boost productivity, efficiency, and overall competitiveness in the market. According to Lorry Li, Managing Director of Keda Ghana Ceramics Company Ltd., the company makes significant contributions to the government and the community.
Annually, the company pays between GH¢500 million and GH¢600 million to the government of Ghana. Additionally, Keda Ceramics fulfills its corporate social responsibilities, actively supporting the country’s development through various initiatives.
Mr Nelson pledged to ensure a safer environment for the company’s operations. This assurance comes as the company experiences rapid growth and promising future prospects.
