American rapper, Meek Mill, has said that he will be returning to Ghana for the festive season in December 2024.
Meek Mill took to his X account to announce his visit to Ghana, but he did not say how long he would be staying or when he would arrive.
Revealing his main reason for the visit, the Dreams and Nightmares rapper expressed a desire to see the historic slave castles at Cape Coast and learn more about the transatlantic slave trade.

The rapper in March 2024 expressed his interest to get a Ghanaian citizenship. The rapper in a tweet announced his desire to acquire a Ghanaian citizenship because of the oppressiveness towards Black people in America.
“I wanna get citizenship in Ghana!!!! America made to tear black men down if you don’t follow orders!” he tweeted in an X post on March 4, 2024.
In December 2022, Meek Mill performed at Afro Nation and has since emphasised his interest and love for Ghana. This was his first-ever visit to Ghana.
That same year, he visited the Jubilee House where he met and held a meeting with President Akufo-Addo.
The American rapper later filmed portions of a music video at the seat of government which generated a public outcry from Ghanaians who questioned why the seat of the government should be denigrated as such.
