A member of NDC Manifesto Committee, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, has said the country’s public debt increased from GHC126 billion in 2016 to GHC740 billion in 2024.
He said this on M’abato3 on Akoma 87.9fm in Kumasi with Sir John on September 10.
He described the economic situation in the country under this NPP administration as horrible.
According to him, the country’s public debt has increased by GH?620 billion as at now. Mr Ankrah said the current situation shows that the NPP government has mismanaged the economy, which has affected investor confidence.
“No investor is interested in doing business with the country now, ” he said.
He appealed to the people of Ghana to reject NPP in the December polls.
Mr Ankrah said NPP is out of ideas, and it is time for Ghanaians to reject the party and vote massively for the NDC to continue the good works of the NDC.
He assured Ghanaians of removal of many taxes to bring investor confidence in the country.
