An Operative of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), James Agbey, has said that the allegation made by the Ashanti Regional Chair of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi) that the running mate to the flagbearer of the NDC, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang authored the Agyapadie document is is a mixture of untruths, blatant lies and clear misinformation.
He says Chairman Wontumi’s utterances are calculated to deflect attention away from the real issues contained in the Agyapadie document.
Chairman Wontumi had opened that “Naana Jane Opoku-Agyeman wrote the Agyapadie book and she deliberately did not attach her name to it. If you like look at her book she wrote and compare the things John Mahama came to say. During President Kufour’s time it’s the same thing they came to do,” he alleged.
But in a statement James Agey said “Wontumi’s warped conclusion here is a highly dishonest, distorted and deliberately misleading attempt to run away from the real issues but the facts regarding the Agyapadie document tell a far more complex and different story.”

James Agbey vows to deal with shameless Wontumi over false Agyapadie claims on Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang
————-
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako otherwise known as Wontumi, has continued, unabashedly, to showcase his recklessness, lose talk and obsessive devotion to self promotion against the best interest of Ghana.
Wontumi’s latest tirade against the 2024 NDC running mate, Prof Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang is a mixture of untruths, blatant lies and clear misinformation calculated to deflect attention away from the real issues contained in the Agyapadie document.
He opined, rather mischievously, on Abusua FM that, “Naana Jane Opoku-Agyeman wrote the Agyapadie book and she deliberately did not attach her name to it. If you like look at her book she wrote and compare the things John Mahama came to say. During President Kufour’s time it’s the same thing they came to do,” he alleged.
Wontumi’s warped conclusion here is a highly dishonest, distorted and deliberately misleading attempt to run away from the real issues but the facts regarding the Agyapadie document tell a far more complex and different story.
Anyone with an iota of decency has been fully aware of the fact, Wontumi is a mess of a politician. Attention-seeking has become his thing, and he say and do crazy things with the goal of securing media coverage.
In fact, the entire nation is pretty much aware that Wontumi’s stock in trade is to throts out shameless attacks, smears and accusations based on no evidence and solely for political gain.
As the discerning people that we are, I remain confident that Ghanaians will continue to differentiate between misinformation and disinformation on one hand and desperation and lies on the other hand. And those driven by self-interest, mercenary considerations and disruptive political agenda by the likes of Wontumi.
Just a few days ago, President Akufo-Addo addressed a misinformation and disinformation conference and also warn against the dangers of the menace. And today, we have his regional party chairman leading the chorus and throting out misinformation.
Politicians like Wontumi knows that there is typically very little cost to bad behavior. In fact, he thinks behaving badly actually gives him a boost. But I want to assure him that he won’t get away with this for as long as I remain an operative of the NDC.
Let Wontumi and all other agents of misinformation know that no amount of sleazy propaganda, muckraking, lies, half-truths, misrepresentations, misinformation or disinformation will save the NPP from the impending electoral defeat.
Thr truth is the Agyapadie document is a handiwork of the “Akyem mafia” and no amount of lies from the likes of Wontumi will change anything.
