Ghana FA Cup champions Nsoatreman FC are set to compete against Chadian side Elect Sport FC in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
This marks the club’s first foray into continental competition following their historic victory over Bofoakwa Tano FC in the Ghana FA Cup final.
The draw for the preliminary round took place at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, on Thursday, July 11, 2024. Nsoatreman FC will kick off their campaign at home, hosting Elect Sport in the first leg before traveling for the return leg.
For their home fixtures, Nsoatreman FC will use the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and the Accra Sports Stadium, providing them with robust venues for their CAF Confederation Cup journey.
The preliminary round is scheduled for August, with the winner of the tie progressing to face the victor between Algerian side CS Constantine and Police FC of Rwanda in the second round in September.
Nsoatreman FC aim to replicate the remarkable success of Dreams FC, who reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup last season in their debut appearance.
Building on their MTN FA Cup triumph, the Bono-based club is eager to make a significant impact on the continental stage.
