
English-Ghanaian midfielder Rafiq Lamptey has signed a new contract at Championship side Millwall FC.
The 19-year-old brother of Black Stars right-back Tariq Lamptery signed a long-term deal following an impressive campaign with the U21 side.
Lamptey has been training with the first team and was part of the squad during pre-season.
He is expected to play a role at The Den in the ongoing campaign as he continues his development at the club.
"I'm buzzing. I am really really happy to sign this new contract. I think since I have been here, the aim has been to be progressing and to get better as a footballer and as a person, I think I have done that," he said.
"To get a new contract and to be offered it, it shows that I am doing well and I am progressing nicely. I am happy and I am pleased."
Lamptey is yet to make an appearances in the Championship for Millwall this season but could line up against Watford on Sunday.
