Hearts of Oak defender Ransford Mensah has stressed the importance of the Ghana Premier League fixture against Young Apostles this weekend, insisting that a win for his side is a must.
The Phobians last time out drew goalless with Swedru All Blacks in their Week 10 encounter of the 2025/26 league campaign, a result that saw the team falling further away from the top four.
Ahead of the upcoming Week 11 fixture against Young Apostles, Ransford Mensah has disclosed that players are determined to return to winning ways after dropping two crucial points in the last game.
“Our last game against All Blacks, we were expecting to win that game, but we did not take our chances. We dominated the game, and we had to score. Everybody was worried after the game for not getting the three points.
“For now, we are well prepared. We are heading towards the game against Young Apostles. This match is very important for us. I’m very sure that we are going to bring back the points,” Mensah told Hearts TV.
The Week 11 fixture between Young Apostles and Hearts of Oak will be played on Sunday, November 23. The game is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm at Wenchi Sports Stadium.
