Asante Kotoko are expected to re-sign midfielder Richard Boadu to bolster their squad in the upcoming January transfer window.
The 27-year-old tough-tackling midfielder is currently unattached after ending his spell with Tunisian powerhouse, Club Africain in June 2025.
Boadu departed the Porcupine Warriors for greener pastures in 2023, joining Libyan outfit Al Ahly Benghazi before spells with Al-Tahaddy and Club Africain.
Having returned to Ghana, the former Medeama midfielder has been training with the two-time CAF Champions League holders.
According to reports, the Ghanaian football heavyweights has held positive talks with Boadu and are close to securing his signature for the second round of the Ghana Premier League campaign.
His potential return to Kotoko could add some bite to the Porcupine Warriors squad, having battled several injury setbacks this season. Currently, the Ghanaian giants is without ten key players.
Quizzed by Kessben FM if he could join Asante Kotoko in the upcoming winter transfer window, Boadu responded, “Everything is possible. Kotoko is my home. It is normal training with them”
Richard Boadu made 62 appearances across competitions, scoring two goals and providing an assist during his first stint with the club.
With spells with both Medeama and Asante Kotoko, the tough-tackling midfielder can boast of 103 appearances, with three goals and an assist.
