Dansoman Liberty emerged victorious in the 3rd edition of the SBE Tournament, claiming the title after a thrilling penalty shootout win over Kenpong Football Academy.
The final, played with high intensity and competitive spirit, ended 2-2 in regulation time before Liberty sealed a 6-5 victory in the shootout, igniting scenes of jubilation among players, technical staff, and supporters.
The tournament brought together eight highly rated youth teams , Right to Dream, Accra Lions, Sporting Club Accra, Emmanuel City FC, Kenpong Football Academy, Dansoman Liberty, Stari Third World and hosts SMAC Soccer Club â all showcasing emerging talent and competing under the watchful eyes of scouts and football development experts.
Dansoman Liberty’s success was fueled by standout performances from some of the most exciting young prospects in the competition. Rising star Yussif Saani once again drew admiration with his brilliant attacking play, contributing both a goal and an assist during the team’s title campaign.
Equally impressive was the exceptional display from young defender Gebrail Akwabi, whose consistency, composure and leadership at the back earned him the prestigious Player of the Tournament award.
