Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko has set his sights on another solid display as his side prepares to face Hohoe United in their next league fixture.
Speaking after Medeama’s narrow 1-0 win over Swedru All Blacks, Tanko stressed the importance of maintaining focus and intensity as they look to defend their spot at the top of the league. Kamaradini Mamudu’s 75th-minute strike sealed the victory that kept Medeama ahead in the title race.
“We are going there to defend our position on the table. We are leading the league table so we have to prepare very well and take something from the game. That’s what we are going to do,” he said.
Medeama currently sit first with 16 points, holding a slender one-point lead over Aduana Stars in second place. Their recent form has been impressive, with three wins, one draw, and one defeat in their last five matches.
Hohoe United, who sit 10th with eight points, have struggled for consistency, losing three of their last five games. However, playing at home could provide the boost they need to challenge the league leaders.
