Thai giants Buriram United have completed the signing of Ghanaian international Kingsley Schindler ahead of the 2025/2025-26 campaign, strengthening their squad with the experienced and versatile player.
The former Samsunspor star joins the Thunder Castles on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with the Turkish top-flight side, who finished third last season.
Schindler’s arrival is expected to inject quality, pace, and depth into Buriram’s attack as they aim to maintain their dominance in the Thai League.
Born in Hamburg, Germany, Schindler honed his skills in the youth systems of Hannover 96 and Hoffenheim before launching his professional career with Holstein Kiel in 2016.
He impressed during his four seasons with the club, recording 34 goals and 22 assists in 101 appearances.
His performances earned him a move to Bundesliga outfit FC Cologne in 2019, where he featured 70 times, contributing two goals and nine assists.
In 2023, he switched to Turkish Super Lig side Samsunspor, making 56 appearances, scoring three goals, and assisting three more.
Schindler made his Ghana debut in 2023 and has since represented the Black Stars eight times, providing one assist.
The 31-year-old will wear the number 19 shirt at Buriram United and is expected to play a key role in their quest for domestic and continental success this season.
