Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has revealed that team unity was Ghana's secret weapon in their emphatic 5-0 victory over Central African Republic in the World Cup qualifiers.
The Crystal Palace forward, who was among the scorers in Wednesday's crucial match, emphasised that the team's collective spirit and brotherhood made them unstoppable during the dominant performance in Morocco.
"When we scored the first goal, we were all happy, united, and playing as brothers â and this is what I want to see," Ayew stated. "If we keep this commitment and attitude, no one can stop us."
The comprehensive victory sees Ghana maintain their position at the top of Group I with 22 points, needing just one point from their final match against Comoros on Sunday to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Goals from Mohammed Salisu, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, Ayew, and Kamaldeen Sulemana demonstrated the team's attacking prowess and collective effort, putting Ghana within touching distance of their fifth World Cup appearance.
