Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah was named Man of the Match following his outstanding performance in the club’s 2-0 victory over defending champions Bibiani GoldStars at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Amoah, who has been in fine form this season, scored a sensational goal in the 50th minute to seal the win for the Porcupine Warriors in the outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture. His strike, a powerful effort into the top corner, was his second in the league and fifth in all competitions this campaign.
Beyond his goal, Amoah impressed with his energy, intelligent movement, and link-up play, proving a constant threat to the GoldStars defence before being stretchered off after a heavy challenge.
His performance capped another dominant display from Prosper Narteh Ogum’s side, who remain unbeaten after three matches this season.
Kotoko will next face Nations FC in a local derby, while GoldStars look to bounce back when they meet Vision FC in their next fixture.
