Semper Fiâ??s Kelvin Takyi Awuku named in Division One League Team of the Week

Semper Fi defender Kelvin Takyi Awuku has been named in the Access Bank Division One League Team of the Week following his outstanding performance in his side’s 1-0 win over Accra Lions.

Awuku was instrumental at the back, displaying composure and leadership as Semper Fi recorded their first clean sheet and first victory of the season. His solid defensive work and calmness under pressure earned him the Man of the Match award on Monday, and his inclusion in the Team of the Week comes as further recognition of his form.

Speaking after the game, Awuku credited teamwork and hard work for his performances, saying, “We don’t rush things and take things one at a time. It was through hard work, determination, and teamwork. You are going to see more from me. I’m hoping to achieve something big this season.”

Semper Fi have now collected four points from their opening two matches in Zone III and will be looking to build on their momentum in their next fixture.
