
Ghana is seeking for a vital win over Central African Republic in the penultimate 2026 World Cup qualification game to strengthen their bid for a fifth World Cup appearance.
The West African football heavyweights head into the final round of the qualifying series on top of Group I, needing four points to book a spot at the biggest soccer mundial to be staged in the USA, Canada and Mexico next year.
The Black Stars will take on Central African Republic on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes before hosting Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12.
With just two games to end the qualifiers, the Black Stars are hoping to maintain momentum to bag qualification to the World Cup. Knowing exactly what’s at stake, coach Otto Addo and his technical will have to map up a strategy to overcome Central African Republic to better their chances of booking a place at the mundial.

Ghana are on top of Group I with 19 points, followed by Madagascar and Comoros, who have 16 and 15 points respectively.
The team Black Stars begun preparation for the penultimate game on Sunday in Casablanca before traveling to Meknes, where the game will be played on Wednesday afternoon.
