Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito has praised Heart of Lions as one of the most consistent sides in the league, setting the tone for a highly anticipated clash on Sunday.
“Well, I think it will be a very tough match. They have played four good matches with Asante Kotoko and the points have been divided or they may even have a big share of the points. In terms of consistency they are one of the best in the league," Karim Zito told AKSC Media.
The Porcupine Warriors opened their campaign in style on September 13 with a narrow 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea. That victory gave the Kumasi giants the perfect start, but Zito knows his team will need more than just home advantage to overcome a side he deeply respects.
The weekend fixture marks Kotoko’s first home game of the season at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, where fans are expected to fill the stands in large numbers. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 pm, with both clubs eager to make a strong statement early in the campaign.
