Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito says his side is braced for a tough test when they face Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 5.
“Playing them, whether home or away it won’t be easy. But we have set our target to win the league and they are part of the teams we will be facing so at all cost we should do our best to win this game," Karim Zito told AKSC Media.
Kotoko started their campaign strongly on September 13, edging Berekum Chelsea 1-0 in their season opener. That narrow win gave the Porcupine Warriors a boost, but Zito is under no illusions about the challenge ahead.
Sunday’s fixture will be their first home game of the season, with fans expected to fill the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to push the team on. Kickoff is at 3 pm, and Kotoko will be hoping to build on their momentum while staying focused on their long-term goal of winning the league.
