Ghana defender Kingsley Fosu Senior has been adjudged Man of the Match after a solid performance for the Black Starlets in their semi-final victory against Nigeria at the ongoing WAFU B U17 Boys Championship in Ivory Coast.
The teenager started in defense for his team on Tuesday night, working in a back four that included Mujahid Osman, Rashoidan Yakubu, and Gabriel Denyinah.
For the entire duration of the game, Fosu starred with his performance at the back, ensuring that the Black Starlets shut out the Nigerians en route to securing a sweet 2-0 victory against their West African rivals.
At the end of the game, he deservedly picked up the Man of the Match award.

On the matchday, goals from John Awule and Robhino Gavi Yao secured victory for the Starlets.
Ghana started brightly, pressing high and creating chances, with Narbi Joseph going close before Gavi forced a fine save. The breakthrough came in the 21st minute when Awule finished off a flowing move. Ten minutes later, Yao curled home a stunning strike after a clever pass from Kagawa Mensah to double the lead.
Nigeria grew into the game, but goalkeeper Solomon Kwame Kesse produced two brilliant saves before halftime to preserve the advantage. Joseph twice threatened to extend the lead but was denied.
The second half saw Ghana adopt a compact shape, relying on counterattacks while Kesse remained solid, notably with an 80th-minute save.
Having bounced back from a slow start, Prosper Ogum’s side are now one win away from lifting the WAFU B title. They will face Ivory Coast in the final on Sunday, October 5.
